English Channel Tunnel

The Channel Tunnel is about 51 km long rail tunnel connecting Folkestone, Kent in England to Coquelles near Calais in northern France. Traversing under the grounds of the English Channel at the Straits of Dover. This huge project was completed in 1994 and draws attention and made sure security measures are taken cared of after 911. Second only to Seikan Tunnel in Japan when it comes to length but considering it is an underwater structure, it is still the longest undersea tunnel in the world.
